A good friend of mine, Fran Snyder, introduced me to an amazing performing songwriter named JP Williams while we were both playing clubs in Atlanta. The three of us soon starting doing songwriter shows together. Fran stayed on the road with a busy college touring schedule and JP and I started to make a lot of trips to Nashville, playing gigs and pitching songs. End of part 1. Ok, I then saw this amazing performing songwriter named Sabrina at the Bluebird Cafe. I was blown away... and so was the audience. To this day, she is the only performer I've ever seen get a standing ovation at the Bird. Well, I begged and begged and Sabrina agreed to do a few shows with me. End of part 2. Sabrina asked me to play a show with her in Nashville along with a friend of hers named Joe West. Joe sang two words and my jaw dropped. What a voice!! Then I heard his songs!! Wow!! At that moment, on that stage in Nashville, I knew that Sabrina, Joe, JP and I had to play a songwriters round. So I set one up. End of part 3. In July of 2004, the four of us played a show at Douglas Corner in Nashville. This was the first time that Sabrina and Joe had met JP. On top of all this I decided to record the show. Boy was I glad I did. It turned out so well it became our first CD, "Three Men and a Diva." And of course, we came full circle when Fran Snyder agreed to mix and edit the CD. End of part 4.
Well, if you've hit this site you've probably seen a live show of ours or were referred here by a friend. We are very glad you did. The Nashville Songwriters Tour has grown much faster than we anticipated and now we've teamed up with the Mikel Foundation to impact the lives of children across America.It's just crazy. I am so grateful to have found Sabrina, Joe West, and JP Williams. We are kind of like the land of misfit toys, the overlooked and forgotten in the world of music. Coming together as the Nashville Songwriters Tour has changed our lives. We love doing this and we hope that some of that love spills over when we play live or when you listen to a NST CD. We truly appreciate all the support at our live shows and for everyone who has purchased our CDs. We really hope that we get to meet you along the journey. And the REALstory is this... Christ uniquely made you for a purpose. We encourage you to heed the passion in your heart and start walking toward that dream you may have given up on. God put it there for a reason, it has value, and trust me on this.... it’s never too late to let God do the impossible... just ask Sabrina, Joe, JP, or me.
